Unconventional uses for outdoor living

As the cost of living is going up and has been increasing for a while, we may be looking to find uses for outdoor living spaces that we wouldn’t have usually used them for. Here are some ways that we thought of to help you get the most out of your outdoor living space this winter:

• Outdoor office space – If you have the option of working from home you could create an outdoor office space so you can save both time and money on the commute to work. Meaning instead of finishing work at 5pm and not getting home till 6-6:30pm, you’re already home and get to spend more time with your family.
• Drying washing – With the cost of living and energy prices increasing we understand that some may be more reluctant to use their tumble dryer to dry their clothes. Using your outdoor living space can provide a dry area no matter the weather to hang up your clothes even in the winter when most people deem it to be a waste of time. For example, if you hang up your clothes before you go to work by the time you come home they will be dry and by air drying clothes you are removing the chance of static clinging and you are conserving resources and energy.
• Space to exercise – No matter the weather, it is important to spend time outside as it is beneficial not just for your mental health but also your physical health. By having a dry outdoor living space you can do a quick workout or practice yoga outside all year round even if it is raining or snowing.
• Outdoor cinema – By making your outdoor living space cosy and comfortable with string lights, cushions and blankets you can easily make it into a cosy outdoor cinema by buying a little projector and inviting your friends and family round for a movie night because who doesn’t love an outdoor film?
