From the replacement of rotting wood to the removal of draughts and rattles, we meticulously transform your iconic sash windows to meet modern efficiency and performance standards, while maintaining the timeless appeal they bring to your property.
Rotten timber removal and repair
Decayed and damaged timber in the window sashes, boxes and cills is removed and can be replaced with custom moulded timber, manufactured in our factory to match the existing profile of your windows. Where lesser sash window repairs are required, a superior strength rot and crack proof repair system ensures long-lasting performance.
Full draught-proofing of windows
Using our ERW Draught Seal System, parting and staff beads are replaced with new beads (including our brush seals) to effectively draught-proof sash windows, preventing draughts, dust ingress and rattles caused by air gaps, as well as considerably improving the overall energy efficiency of your property.
Security upgrades
Security is paramount to the longevity of sash windows and the safety of the home. Our traditionally styled ironmongery locking options offer protection against intruders, misuse and potential accidents.
Hardware upgrades
In keeping with the original aesthetics, all existing hardware can be replaced or installed where required. Along with the replacement of cords and improvement of sashes and pulleys, cut brass sash lifts and catches installed so that windows perform as well as they look.
Encapsulation and replication of original leaded units
Leaded windows provide a beloved charm that’s synonymous with historic buildings. By encapsulating original units or reproducing designs to the finest detail, we help you retain the timeless appeal of the window whilst enhancing performance and longevity.
