Secondary Glazing

To improve performance of existing sash windows, secondary glazing can be installed discreetly to the inside of frames, providing an extra layer of insulation that keeps your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

In Grade I and Grade II Listed buildings and conservation areas where changes and upgrades to windows are not possible, our bespoke secondary glazing (including slim double glazed units) can reduce heat loss by up to 65%. This makes a significant impact on your lowering your heating bills, whilst retaining the beauty of your property.

Another benefit of secondary glazing is that it reduces noise levels by up to 80%. Adding additional windows also slashes a building’s CO2 emissions and enhances security by providing a barrier against unwelcome guests. All whilst preserving the character and charm of your property.

Our secondary glazing units are custom manufactured to your specifications for easy installation and available in the following styles:

  • Vertical sliders — for use with traditional box sash windows
  • Horizontal sliders — where access to the primary window is essential
  • Hinged units — providing an unobstructed view on doors and large windows
  • Fixed panel — for areas with a minimal fixing area
  • Lift out — a cost-effective option when limited access is required
  • Arched units — to match the contours of arched primary windows

All units are designed for easy cleaning and come finished in your choice of over 200 RAL colours.
